What is Reflexology?
Reflexology, a complementary therapy rooted in ancient practices, offers a unique approach to promoting relaxation and enhancing overall health by applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears.
How does Reflexology work?
Reflexology is based on the principle that certain points on your feet, hands, and ears correspond to different organs and systems of the body. Using their thumbs, fingers, or specialized tools, the reflexologist applies varying degrees of pressure on specific points believed to correspond with organs or systems in your body. The pressure is generally firm but should never be painful.
Reflexology treats the entire body!
What are some of the benefits of Reflexology?
By applying gentle pressure to the body’s reflex points, practitioners aim to stimulate healing processes, improve circulation, reduce stress and anxiety, enhance immune function, supports overall well-being.
What will happen at my first appointment?
• The practitioner will review your health intake and get your consent for the session.
• A session is approx. 45 – 60 min for an adult.
• You do not have to remove your clothing
• You are placed in a relaxing, comfortable position on either on a zero-gravity chair or a treatment table.
• The pressure, length and focus of the session are customized to meet your needs.
Reflexology is not a diagnostic tool or a treatment for specific medical conditions but rather a holistic method to support your body’s natural ability to heal and maintain balance.
