I worked most of my career as a Physiotherapist in the hospital setting. In fact, I was close to 20 years of hospital-based practice before I made the switch to private care.
I was attracted to the physiotherapy profession for many reasons but my nurturing personality drew me to the patient care early on in my student career.
I worked within various hospital settings such as oncology, orthopedics and pediatrics to name a few. I loved the hustle and bustle, fast paced hospital work and was lucky to be surrounded by such amazing mentors.
A few years ago, a colleague of mine introduced me to the world of women’s health and I can honestly say that I never looked back.
I took my first pelvic health post-graduate course and I was hooked. Not only could I relate to the majority of the material being taught, but also I could see the impact that I could have on so many people lives. The pelvic health profession as a whole has been underserved for so long, that I was excited to be able to play a role in moving this platform forward in my own community.
I have lived in Navan for over 15 years. I have and still am raising 3 children in this community.
With 3 children come a lot of medical appointments along the way and a lot of travel time to the city to see medical specialist. This makes for a lot of driving in the 15 years since I have given birth.
During these long hours on the road driving back and forth to city appointments, the narrative in my head was always the same. I always wished we could have access to these specialized services in our end of the city!
This became my mission. I wanted to provide Navan and surrounding rural areas access to quality and professional services in the comfort of their own community.
I am very excited about how this amazing team at The Physio Space has come together and my hope is that our clients will thrive in this wonderful space.
