Strength training is the most effective activity and impactful habit for women's health and longevity in perimenopause and menopause.

During perimenopause and menopause, the decline in estrogen leads to changes in muscle, bone, and fat distribution. Muscle mass decreases, metabolism slows down and many women experience ‘menopause belly’, where fat accumulates around the abdomen. Bone density also drops, increasing the risk of osteopenia, osteoporosis, and fractures. These changes make strength training essential to preserve muscle, protect bones, and manage abdominal fat, supporting overall health and mobility during this stage of life.

Our Menopause Rehab Strength Classes curated by our very own pelvic health physiotherapists offer a holistic approach, enhancing physical health and emotional well-being during this transitional phase of life. If you have never strength trained before, no problem!! We will guide you every step of the way!!

What we offer at B Strong Meno Series:

  • Strength Training: Strength classes catered to common health concerns in perimenopause and post menopause, while considering bone health, pelvic floor symptoms, joint injuries, fatigue, and body image. Full-body workouts that integrate warm-up and cool-down mobility & stability exercises, power, and agility, and strengthening exercises.
  • Fun and supportive environment: A welcoming environment for sharing experiences and building connections with others.
  • Small class sizes (up to 8) to maintain intimacy and customizations for specific needs.
  • Personalized attention: Classes that will challenge both the beginner and experienced student and modifiable to meet each student where they in their fitness journey.
  • Expert Guidance: Led by experienced physiotherapists and trainers specialized in rehabilitation and weight management.
  • Progress Tracking: Regular assessments to monitor improvement and adjust goals.

Who can join?

Anyone going through perimenopause/menopause who has goals of getting fitter and stronger regardless of exercise experience and age.

When are the classes offered? 

Our classes run on 8-week blocks throughout the year.

Can I submit my receipts through insurance?

Classes may be covered by private health benefits. Conditions apply. Please contact us for more details.
